The 37th Debutante Ball of the Western Diocese was held on February 17, 2008, at Beverly Hill Hotel. The Primate offered his benediction and blessing and thanked all who were involved in organizing the amazing event. Mrs. Cindy Norian, Chairlady of the Ladies’ Auxiliary Committee, welcomed the guests and presented Anita Vogel from FOX NEWS who served as the Mistress of Ceremonies for the 37th Debutante Ball. His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian: “Almighty God, we thank you for all the blessings of this life, and tonight especially for the youth of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Grant them the wisdom and the vision to become exemplary stewards of our church. Guide them to guard the faith of our forefathers and fill their heart with the gifts of the Holy Spirit, so that they pray constantly – renew their God-given lives with faith, hope and love. Tonight we ask you all to pray with words of gratitude, respect and love for the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Western Diocese, who continue to bring blessings and joy to the members of the community thorough their hard work and dedication. We uplift our hearts and pray for the parents of our youth, who have responded to God’s call and fulfill their duties and responsibilities with diligence. Bless O Lord this celebration. Bless O Lord the food which is being offered to us. ‘The eyes of all look hopefully to you, and you give them their food in due season; you open your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.’ Let us eat this food in peace which is prepared for us by the Lord. Blessed is the Lord in these gifts. Amen.”
