The 70th Birthday celebration of Walter Karabian, organized by the Armenian Film Foundation, was held in Anaheim, California, on March 15, 2008. In lieu of birthday gifts, Walter Karabian requested tax-deductible donations to the Armenian Film Foundation which would go toward completing the third and final Genocide documentary film, “Caravans along the Euphrates, River of Death.” The film sheds light on some of the less known facts about the Armenian Genocide. His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate, attended this event and in his remarks praised Mr. Karabian and his family, as well as the organizers, for their contribution to the Armenian cause.
