Western Diocese

Sunday August 12^th, 2007 on the occasion of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, His Eminence Abp. Hovnan Derderian celebrated Divine Liturgy at St. Mary, Costa Mesa. He offered his sermon, and presided over the Blessing of the Grapes ceremony. Parish Priest, Fr. Moushegh Tashjian and deacons served at the Holy Altar.

Following the Liturgy there was a social gathering in the Fesjian Hall, where the faithful had the opportunity to speak with the Primate, and receive his blessings.

His Eminence Abp. Vatche Hovsepian, former Primate of the Western Diocese, celebrated Divine Liturgy at St. Mary, Yettem, offered the sermon, and presided over the Blessing of the Grapes. Parish Priest, Fr. Vartan Kasparian, as well as the deacons, served on the Holy Altar.

His Eminence, Abp. Aris Shirvanian, Director of Communications for the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, celebrated Divine Liturgy at St. John, San Francisco, offered the sermon, and presided over the Blessing of the Grapes. Parish Priest, Fr. Sarkis Petoyan, as well as the deacons, served on the Holy Altar.

The Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Yardemain, Vicar General of the Western Diocese, celebrated Divine Liturgy at St. Mary, Yettem at the Armenian Church of Burbank, offered the sermon, and presided over the Blessing of the Grapes.

The Very Rev. Fr. Kegham Zarkarian celebrated Divine Liturgy at St. Kevork, Glendale, offered the sermon, and presided over the Blessing of the Grapes.

Fr. Hovel Ohanyan, pastor of the Armenian Churches of Santa Clarita and Ventura County, celebrated Divine Liturgy at the Armenian Church of Palmdale offered the sermon, and presided over the Blessing of the Grapes.

Fr. Narek Madaryan, pastor of the St. Sarkis, East Los Angeles, celebrated Divine Liturgy at the Armenian Church of Salt Lake City, Utah, offered the sermon, and presided over the Blessing of the Grapes. Fr. Mampre Kassabian celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St. Sarkis.

Fr. Zaven Markosyan, pastor of Sun Valley and North Hollywood, celebrated Divine Liturgy at the Armenian Church of Denver, Colorado, offered the sermon, and presided over the Blessing of the Grapes.
