Western Diocese

The Western Diocese continues to participate in ecumenical life. On Saturday January 20 at the Glendale First Baptist Church an ecumenical service was held which included prayer and the singing of hymns. Sermons were given by clergymen representing various denominations. Fr. Nareg Matarian of St. Sarkis, East Los Angeles and Fr. Zaven Margosyan, pastor of the Sun Valley and North Hollywood represented the Primate. The Children’s Choir of St. Sarkis led by Ari Demiral sang several hymns from the Divine Liturgy which was appreciated by all. Upon the conclusion of the service Fr. Alexei Smith of the Catholic Archdiocese gave the benediction.
