On Wednesday, November 14, 2007, a meeting to help Iraqi Armenians took place at the Armenian Relief Society office in Glendale, California.

Representatives from various Armenian organizations were present to discuss the possible ways to help the Armenian community of Iraq. Rev. Fr. Archpriest Hovsep Hagopian represented the Primate in this meeting.

There was a broad consent among the gatherers to raise funds and help the Iraqi Armenians to relocate to the Republic of Armenia. A special committee was formed to begin the initiative.
