Western Diocese

The Western Diocese is excited to announce that it is eagerly awaiting the arrival of several new clergymen who will be serving the Western Diocese on a long-term basis. Arriving in June will be Fr. Hovel Ohanyan who was recently ordained by His Eminence Abp. Hovnan Derderian at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. Also expected is Fr. Zakaria Saripekian who will be assigned as Parish Priest for the Armenian Church of Arizona. We also await Deacon Krikor Avakian, graduate from the seminary of St. James in Jeruselem, who has been accepted by the Western Diocese as a candidate for the priesthood, and will be trained in America.

The Diocese anticipates that the arrival of these young servants of the Church will be an agent of renewal and energy in the many missions of the Western Diocese.
