January 1          Primates Celebrates Annual New Year’s Divine Liturgy at St. Peter, Glendale

January 3          10:30 AM a Christmas Service will be held at the Ararat Home. Home Blessings were done in the various wings of the facility by Diocesan Clergy.

January 5          Christmas Eve services to be held at St. Gregory, Pasadena. Abp. Hovnan Derderian will honor Doris Sarkissian with the encyclical of His Holiness Karekin II and the Medal of St. Nersses.

January 6          In the morning the Christmas Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at the Diocesan Headquarters. Fr. Alexei Smith of the Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, will deliver the sermon. Other ecumenical guests include Rev. Dr. Gwyne Guibord, Fr. David Jackson, Rev. Sally Welch, Br. Shakeel Syed, and Rev. Albery Cohen. From 6:00pm – 9:00pm a Christmas Reception will be held in the Kalaydjian Hall. There will be a traditional Home Blessing service as well as a program.

January 7          Christmas Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by the Primate at St. Gregory, Fowler. Abp. Vatche Hovsepian will celebrate Divine Liturgy in St. Mary, Yettem. The Vicar General Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Yardemian will celebrate Divine Liturgy at St. Paul, Fresno.

January 13        Primate to visit the Armenian community of Boise, Idaho

January 14        Primate will be at St. Gregory, Pasadena and preside over the instillation of the new pastor.

January 20        Primate to preside over Diocesan Council and Christian Education Council meetings at the Diocese.

January 26        Etchmiadzin Children’s Fund Annual Event.

January 28        Stewardship Annual Event at the Diocesan Headquarters.
