St. Gregory to Consecrate Newly Constructed Church

It is with great joy that the Western Diocese announces to the faithful that this weekend September 8th through September 9th, the newly constructed church building at St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church of Pasadena will be consecrated. Activities are planned throughout the weekend. On Saturday, September 8th, at 6:00 pm the Opening Ceremony will be held beginning with the “Navagadik” Ceremony, following which there will be an outdoor “Madagh” blessing. There will be live entertainment as well.
On Sunday, September 9th, His Eminence Abp. Hovnan Derderian will celebrate the Divine Liturgy, during which he will consecrate the long anticipated church in the presence of the congregation. Following the Divine Liturgy, a luncheon will be held in the Aghajanian Hall.
