Thousands of people attended the Armenian Festival at the Woodbury University on April 6, 2008, organized by Woodbury University ASA in collaboration with several other ASAs from the local colleges and universities. The Western Diocese was the main sponsor of the festival.

Hundreds of people visited the Diocesan Bookstore Booth during the day. Promotional and free publications of the Western Diocese were distributed among the participants at the festival. The major donors to the festival organizing committee were the Western Diocese ($5,000) and Hye Pharmacy, Dr. Bedros Taglyan, ($4,000).

Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. Yardemian, Vicar General, attended the festival following the Sunday church service. His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate, on his way back from Rancho Mirage visited the festival around 5:00 p.m. and toured the facility. The Primate addressed the participants with his encouraging and spiritually uplifting words on this festive occasion.
