News » New Projects Underway at Diocesan Summer Camp
Published on May 29 2008 by Divan of the Diocese
Mrs. Jean Barsam has recently donated $60,000 towards the construction of the Barsam Sports Court at the Diocesan Summer Camp. The Barsam Sport Court and the Barsam Lake (named after Mr. Vartkes Barsam) are critically important in achieving the objectives of the Summer Camp Program.
The landscaping and cleaning of the vicinity of the Summer Camp is equally important for the success of the program. Towards this end, the Paparigian Cabin-Hill Landscaping Project – funded by the Paparigian Foundation – provides a neat and pleasant environment for the participants of the Diocesan Summer Camp Program.
The Armenian Summer Camp Program has been created to nurture the bodies, minds, and spirits of the Armenian youth in a natural setting, providing a stimulating and fun environment of community which inspires individual growth and the values of Christian fellowship.
